Yes, the eye cries out the river of life. The eye is the "Absolute", the unity that binds the cosmos and the mind, the "Self" in Jungian psychology and we, humanity, stem from it, fragmenting ourselves alongside the path of life (the river) into the "ego", mere day-to-day consciousness. But if we strive through reintergrating the "shadow", the unconscious, we paradoxally reach an illumination (the sunlight in the forest), the knowledge that a truely complete individual is one who has mangaged to accept both the light and dark, the known and unknown, parts of themselves.
Sorry for rambling on so. The theories of Carl Jung just so happen to be a passion of mine. Also, I am not one for interpretations. I hate explaining art; it spoils the intrigue of the work.
Thank you for explaining, i would never have got all that without your explanation.
